Standalone Rear Roof Shelf to suit Toyota LandCruiser LC200

Our Standalone Rear Roof Shelf helps you get organised, with a secure place to store smaller, lightweight items that so often end up chaotically floating around the back of the car. What is the load/weight capacity for the Standalone Shelf?

The shelf is rated to 10kg, evenly distributed across the shelf. We recommend it as storage for lightweight and soft cargo. If you need help imagining what that looks like, here's an example:

Can we still use the third-row seats with the Shelf installed?

Any modifications to your vehicles third-row area may impact its compliance with safety regulations. We do not recommend carrying passengers in this space after modifications as it presents a dangerous safety hazard.
 
Additionally, some modifications that affect passenger capacity may require certification (mod-plating) to ensure your vehicle remains compliant with your state or territorys regulations. We recommend checking with your local transport authority for specific requirements.

Is the Light Cargo Barrier for the LC200 compatible with the Standalone Shelf?

Yes. Current models of Light Cargo Barrier (KS0716) and Standalone Shelf (KS0730/KS0731/KS0732) are compatible. Instructions for installing them together are provided. 

For older model products prior to Dec 2023:

Retired KS0016 Light Cargo Barrier & Current KS0730/KS0731/KS0732 Rear Roof Shelf: The Light Cargo Barrier can be altered to be compatible with our Handle Delete Brackets, which can be layered over the Shelf brackets.Please contact us to arrange the Handle Delete Bracket.

Retired KS0285 Rear Roof Shelf & Current KS0716 Light Cargo Barrier: Layer the Barrier handle bracket beneath the shelf handle bracket. 

Retired KS0016 Light Cargo Barrier & Retired KS0285 Rear Roof Shelf: The Light Cargo Barrier can be altered to be compatible with our Handle Delete Brackets, which can be layered over the Shelf brackets. Please contact us to arrange the Handle Delete Bracket.

How big is the Standalone Shelf?

230mm clearance is required from the grab handle centre to an existing cargo barrier.

The shelf measures 1160 x 450mm. 

What are the clearances when the Standalone Shelf is installed?

When installed, there is 870mm clearance to the floor, and 175mm of clearance from the ceiling to the bottom of the shelf. This shelf has no vertical adjustment, but has three settings of forward/backwards adjustment. 

Why does the LC200 Standalone Shelf include additional Small Side Molle Panels, unlike some other KAON Standalone Shelves?

Most vehicles we work with utilise a captive nut in the vehicle frame. The LC200 mounts use a unique system, where the handles are clipped into a bracket that is then welded to the frame up in the roof. These Side Panels provide support and additional peace of mind to suit the unconventional nature of the LC200 mounting system. 

How do the Side Molle Panels work with the curtain airbags?

Both the Small and Large Side Molle Panels are designed to allow unobstructed deployment of the factory curtain airbags. That said, we do not recommend any passengers ride in the third-row seats with either of these products installed. 

What is required to mount the Small Side Molle Panels?

You will need to drill a hole to access the captive nut in the vehicle frame, we provide a template to do this, so its easy to get it right. The best thing to do if you are unsure is to watch the video or read the fitting instructions, both are available on the product listing.

If you've lost your template, you can contact us for a PDF version to print at home or at your local copy shop. It's important to ensure printing is set to "No Scaling" and to measure the scale as indicated in the instructions to confirm it is correct before use. 

Do the Side Molle Panels work with rear drawer systems?

Yes, it should work with most systems. To check compatibility with yours: measure the vertical clearance required to install the panels: from the floor vertically up, it is 590mm to both the Small and Large panels.
