Vehicle Wraps, Fleet Graphics & Commercial Signage in Newcastle

A wrapped vehicle is a billboard that parks outside the job. ALTASigns designs, prints and installs vehicle wraps, fleet graphics, window signage and commercial branding from our studio at Kotara — using 3M, Avery, Orafol, STEK and Suntek materials so what we put on today still looks right in five years. One team handles design, production and installation, which means nobody gets to blame anybody else.

Designed, printed and fitted in-house — from one vehicle to a whole fleet.

What We Produce

Signage fails in predictable ways — colours that drift after two summers, edges that lift on a curve, artwork that reads fine on a screen and disappears at forty metres. Most of that is decided by the material and the design, long before anyone picks up a squeegee. We control both, in the same building.

Brands we've branded
We've worked with some of Newcastle's most recognisable names — Saddington's Building Supplies, Red Funnel Food Distributors and Fenwick's Towing Services — alongside plenty of one-van operators and boutique brands. The job's the same either way: make it legible, make it last.

Design, print and install under one roof

Most signage jobs pass through three companies and lose something at every handover. Ours don't leave the building between the first proof and the finished vehicle.
  • In-house design team, working to your brand or building one
  • Printed in our Kotara studio on 3M, Avery and Orafol media
  • Installed by our own fitters, not subcontracted out
  • Printed graphics shipped Australia-wide for local install
  • Aftercare advice to get the full life out of the material

What our customers say

Wonderful people to deal with, very good throughout the process and delivered a quality hard lid for my vehicle. Were excellent with any after sales questions, making me feel like they wanted to look after their customers.
Darren M. — Maitland

What a team! This is my 3rd set of roof racks I've had installed by these legends and this one was by far the most complex on my new work van. I have a pretty high attention to detail and Andrew in the office and Beau installing them absolutely nailed it. Very happy and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Thanks again
James C. — Kotara

Great store to get fitted out for roof racks and attachments for the car. They fitted my first set of roof racks and have helped me out with all the changes to my setup for over 10 years. Great and knowledgeable service too.

Not in Newcastle?

Vehicle wraps and fleet work need the vehicle here, so those jobs come to Kotara. Printed graphics are a different matter — we design and produce them in the studio and ship them anywhere in Australia for your own installer to apply, or for you to fit yourself if the job is simple enough. Tell us where you are and what you need, and we'll tell you honestly which of those makes more sense.

Signage Questions

On sound factory paint, no — the opposite. Quality cast vinyl sits on top of the clear coat and shields it from stone chips, UV and bird mess, and when it's removed properly the surface underneath is usually in better condition than the panels that were exposed. The exception is paintwork that was already compromised: a cheap respray, previous filler, or a panel where the clear coat has started to fail. Vinyl can lift that when it comes off. We'll inspect the panels before we quote and tell you if we see a risk.
On premium cast media, several years — but the number depends far more on where the vinyl sits than on the brand. Vertical surfaces like doors and sides last considerably longer than bonnets and roofs, which cop direct sun all day and will always fade first. Australian UV is harder on vinyl than most of the markets these products are rated in. Washing by hand rather than with a high-pressure wand at the seams, and keeping it out of the sun where you reasonably can, makes a real difference. We'll give you the expected life for the specific material we quote.
Either. We have an in-house design team who can build a logo suite from nothing, or take your existing branding and adapt it to a vehicle — which is genuinely a different job to laying out a business card, because the shape you're working with has curves, door gaps and handles in the way. If you have print-ready artwork we'll work with it, though we'll say something if we think it won't read at distance. You'll see a proof on your actual vehicle shape before anything goes to print.
Yes, and consistency is the part that matters. We hold your spec on file so the van you add in three years matches the ones you branded today — same colours, same placement, same materials. We'll also work around your schedule rather than asking for the whole fleet at once, since most businesses can't have every vehicle off the road in the same week. Talk to us about staging it.
