The 2015–2025 HiLux is one of the most common utes on Australian roads, on worksites, farms and family driveways alike. This page covers what we fit to it most, from canopies, drawers and towbars to roof racks, bull bars and lighting, along with the HiLux-specific details that decide which parts suit yours. Everything here can be supplied and fitted at our four NSW stores in Kotara, Maitland, Artarmon and Burwood.

Which HiLux Have You Got?
This generation of HiLux ran for ten years and had its front end reworked more than once. The build year and grade decide which bull bar fits and how much your HiLux can tow.

Wide-body Rogue or GR Sport?From 2023 these have a wider track and different front guards, so they need their own bull bar. Most other parts are shared with the standard double cab.

That's two adults and not much else, before any bull bar, canopy or drawers. If you tow heavy, tell us up front. We'll help you keep the setup light, or plan around a lighter trailer.
Ute or cab chassis?Towbars, canopies and drawers are different for a tub and a tray, so we'll ask which you have. Cab chassis HiLuxes take their own towbar kits, including a recovery-rated version.
Towing over 2,000 kg?You'll need trailer brakes you can work from the driver's seat, which means an electric brake controller. We supply and fit them, wired neatly behind the dash.

Canopies & tub
Canopies, drawers and tub storage
EGR's Gen3 canopy suits the 2015–2025 HiLux tub and clamps on without drilling. It links to the factory central locking, has frameless lift-up side windows, and is rated to carry 80 kg on the roof while driving and 200 kg when parked. An internal support frame is available if you'll be carrying more on top.
MSA's drawer system for the double-cab tub comes as a full kit or a single left or right drawer, with locks, an LED strip and a stay-open block for parking on a slope. It's made for HiLuxes built from late 2015 to late 2025.

Towbars
Towbars for the HiLux
Choose the towbar by what your HiLux is rated to tow. A 3,500 kg towbar on a 2.8 auto built before mid-2020 still leaves you at 3,200 kg, and 4x2 and 2.4 models are rated lower again. Tub and cab-chassis models take different kits, and cab chassis HiLuxes can have a recovery-rated Hayman Reese towbar with proper recovery points built in.
If you'll be towing more than 2,000 kg, we'll fit a brake controller such as the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite at the same time. Planning to tow near the limit? Have a look at the GCM figures above first.

Roof racks
Roof racks for the HiLux
Most HiLuxes have a bare roof, so racks clamp on with a kit made for your cab style. Single, extra and double cabs each have their own. The Rogue's factory tub tracks can carry bars too. If you have a canopy, its roof is often the better place for a rack, keeping the cab roof clear and the load further back.

Bull bars
Bull bars for the HiLux
Because the front end changed in 2018 and again in 2020, a bar for one HiLux often won't fit another, and the wide-body Rogue and GR Sport need their own. Offroad Animal's Toro suits 4x4 HiLuxes from 2021 on, apart from the Rogue, Rugged X and GR Sport, and there's a Predator bar made for the wide-body Rogue. Both are ADR compliant, airbag compatible and winch ready. Piak's Elite bars cover 2020-on HiLuxes too, with or without a loop.

HiLux Questions
For the 2.8 diesel 4x4, 3,500 kg braked with up to 350 kg on the towball. That applies to manuals from 2015 and to automatics from the mid-2020 update. Automatics built before that are rated to 3,200 kg. 4x2, 2.4 diesel and 2.7 petrol models are rated lower, so check the figure for your exact vehicle in the owner's handbook.
Not really. The 4x4 HiLux has a 5,850 kg GCM, which is the most the ute, its load and the trailer can weigh together. An SR5 double cab auto towing 3,500 kg has only about 240 kg left for people, gear and accessories. If you tow heavy, keep the ute's setup light or plan around a lighter trailer. We can help you work out the numbers.
It depends on the build year and grade. The front end changed in 2018 and 2020, so bars are made for specific date ranges, and the wide-body Rogue and GR Sport from 2023 need their own. Give us your build year and grade and we'll match the right bar.
Many won't. The 2026 HiLux sits on a similar chassis but has a new front end, a new tub and new tail-lights, so bull bars, canopies, drawers and towbars are generally model-specific. We fit the 2026 HiLux too, and we'll check each part against it before quoting.
One that suits your body style and matches your rating. Tub and cab-chassis HiLuxes take different kits, and cab chassis models can have a recovery-rated towbar. A higher-rated towbar doesn't raise what the HiLux itself can tow. Give us your build year, grade and body and we'll match the right kit and wiring.
If your loaded trailer weighs more than 2,000 kg, its brakes must be operable from the driver's seat, so yes. Trailers between 750 kg and 2,000 kg need brakes too, but not always a controller. We'll look at your trailer and fit and set up the right controller for it.
Yes. Canopies, towbars, roof racks, drawers, bull bars and accessories are fitted at Kotara, Maitland, Artarmon and Burwood. Window tinting is done at Kotara and Maitland only. Call your nearest store with your HiLux's grade and build year to book.
