Side Angled Maxtrax / TRED and Shovel Mount to suit Rhino-Rack, Rola and Yakima 

Positioned on the side of your roof rack, this mount keeps your Maxtrax or TRED within easy reach and keeps your roof rack free for all your gear, whilst including a convenient base to mount your shovel to.

FEATURES:

• Side-angled mounting takes up a smaller footprint, giving more room for all your gear.
• Secure mounting to two slats for even load distribution whilst reducing flex and movement.
• Both angle and height adjustments so that you can customise it to suit your setup.
• Includes a mounting base for optional integration of shovel holder on the back, such as a QuickFist or Rhino-Rack STOW iT.
• Provides quick access for even quicker recoveries, with a secure and lockable mounting system so your Maxtrax will stay put.
• Quick and simple to install.
• Brackets are made from Stainless Steel and finished with a durable textured Matt Black Powdercoat.

Which roof racks are these mounts compatible with? 

These mounts are compatible with:

• Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Series 3, 4, 5 & 6
  • Not compatible with Tradie Platform due to outer rail. 
  • Not compatible with Rhino-Rack Suzuki Jimny Overlanding Kit (Pioneer LT Tray - ROLS1) 
• Rola Titan MKII & MKIII
• Thule Caprock

They are not compatible with:

• Front Runner

Are these mounts compatible with Rhino-Rack Pioneer Tradie Platform or Platform Trays (i.e. with the outer rail)? 

No, they're not compatible due to the outer rail. 

Which mounting pins are best for my setup?

There are different pin options depending on which recovery boards you have. Here's what we recommend:

MAXTRAX Recovery Tracks 

• MKII, Xtreme, LITE & Mini Boards: Maxtrax Universal Mounting Pins 4pk
• Older Maxtrax MKII Mounting pins (pre-2025) are compatible with our mounts

TRED Recovery Boards 

• TRED PRO, GT or HD: Either TRED Threaded or Quick Release Pins 
• TRED Pins are usually sold in sets of 2. We sell TRED Pins in sets of 4, to ensure optimum use with our mounts. 

Please note our mounts are not compatible with the 'TRED originals' range of 800 and 1100 boards available before 2019.
