Roof Rack Table Slide Mount to suit Platform Racks

A good table is a camping staple. The biggest issue? Big and flat, they often end up right at the bottom of a pile of stuff in the back of the car, and aren't easy to access when you want a quick setup on the road.

Our Roof Rack Table Slide Mount enables you to secure a trestle table to the underside of your roof rack, taking advantage of underutilised space and leaving the surface of your platform free to carry whatever you need.

FEATURES:

• Provides instant access to your table, no need to move all your stuff to get to the table in the back of your car.
• Utilise wasted space under your rack, while leaving the surface of your roof rack platform totally free. 
• Slide mounts are held in place with a series of clamps secured to cross rails on the underside of the platform. 
• A tight-fitting locking bar secures the table, and stoppers keep it rattle-free. 
• The locking bar has holes to allow for a padlock to be fitted to either side. 
• Table stores upside down, keeping the table working surface clean and the legs secure. 
• Once fitted, the mount is €˜set and forget  simply remove the table and locking bar when not in use.
• Made from stainless steel in a brushed finish, so its hard-wearing and wont rust.

Our Roof Rack Mount does not include the table. We recommend purchasing the table prior to this mount, to ensure you can source it.

RACK COMPATIBILITY:

50mm clearance is required from the underside of all roof racks to the roof, at the narrowest point.

• Compatible with Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform Series 4 or 5/6. Note that hardware may not suit platforms mounted on top of Cross Bars.
• Compatible with Front Runner Slimline II.

What clearances do I need to install this mount? 

When installed, the mount measures 742W (across the vehicle) x 1287L (down the vehicle). 

The mount needs 50mm vertical clearance between the roof and the rack underside to be installed. 
 

I dont have enough clearance; what are my options?

If you have a Rhino-Rack Backbone mounted rack and need 10mm additional clearance, we have an option that includes a 10mm Spacer Kit. 

If you have a standard leg-mounted rack Rhino-Rack produces 10mm spacers that are simple to install and readily available from Autobarn or speciality Rhino-Rack retailers. 

Please note while our Spacer Kits use genuine Rhino-Rack components, fitting spacers may affect your roof racks eligibility for warranty coverage under Rhino-Racks terms.

Front Runner also produces spacers compatible with the Slimline II. 

Check with your rack manufacturer to confirm spacers available and required for your vehicle. 

How do the spacers look on the backbone-mounted rack?

Most are surprised to see that the spacers have little visual impact on the backbone system. Here are some images showing spacers installed on both an S4 and S5 rack. 

Which way should I store the table?

How you store it is up to you. We recommend storing it with the legs facing upwards if you're driving in rougher or corrugated conditions, ensuring they remain secure. If you're just running about on sealed surfaces, it's possible to opt for the legs facing downwards, preventing the table underside from catching water. 

If you have a bent or bowed table, you may find the legs catch on the underside of your rack. In these instances, we recommend flipping the legs to face downwards, or purchasing a new table for this application. 

Can I use a different 4ft table?

Our Roof Rack Mount is designed to specifically suit the Marquee 4ft Trestle Table. We chose this table for its slimline profile and wide accessibility for most customers. You can purchase this table from Bunnings, both in stores across Australia and online.

For customers in the US, we have been advised that the COSCO Table from Lowes or the Realspace Molded Plastic Table (Office Depot item #606043) are compatible. 

Other tables may work, provided when folded they have the same dimensions (615 x 1220 x 35mm), are of a similar weight (8.2kg) and have no components that catch on the rack. 

How do I know which Rhino-Rack I have?

How much does the Roof Rack Table Slide weigh?

The slide weighs 4.5kg. The table from Bunnings weighs 8.2kg.

Can the Roof Rack Table Slide be fitted to an ARB BASE Rack?

No, the slide cannot be fitted to an ARB BASE Rack due to its unique dovetail mounting system, and also the rack's shallow clearances to the vehicle roof.
