ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 

Passengers should not ride in the third-row with this installed. This barrier has not been tested to Australian Standards, and is intended as a pet barrier or for use when off-road. 

All of our barriers are designed to be compatible with modern side and curtain-airbag systems, and as such there is clearance around all sides of the barrier to ensure unaffected airbag deployment. In rare instances, very small dogs may be able to get through the gaps provided for this clearance.

Is this compatible with the LandCruiser 250 available in the USA?

Yes, this is compatible with the LandCruiser 250.

How big is the standalone shelf and what is its load capacity?

The shelf measures 1180 x 475mm and is rated to 10kg, evenly distributed across the shelf. We recommend it as storage for lightweight and soft cargo. 

Can we still use the third-row seats with this installed?

Any modifications to your vehicles third-row area may impact its compliance with safety regulations. We do not recommend carrying passengers in this space after modifications as it presents a dangerous safety hazard.
 
Additionally, some modifications that affect passenger capacity may require certification (mod-plating) to ensure your vehicle remains compliant with your state or territorys regulations. We recommend checking with your local transport authority for specific requirements.

What are the clearances with the shelf installed?

Clearances when installed (subject to variances of up to +/-5mm): 

Roof to shelf base: 
170mm - Highest Setting 
160mm - Lowest Setting

Shelf base to floor: 
850mm - Highest Setting 
840mm - Lowest Setting

Why does the Prado 250 Light Cargo Barrier and Standalone Shelf Bundle include an additional Side Molle Panel, unlike other KAON Shelf and Barrier Bundles?

The grab handles in many vehicles, particularly older models, are mounted to captive nuts in the vehicle's frame. The Prado 250 mounts use a unique system, where the handles are clipped into a bracket that is then welded to the frame up in the roof. These Side Panels provide support and additional peace of mind to suit the unconventional nature of the Prado 250 mounting system. 

How do the Side Molle Panels work with the curtain airbags?

Both the Small and Large Side Molle Panels are designed to allow unobstructed deployment of the factory curtain airbags. That said, we do not recommend any passengers ride in the third-row seats with either of these products installed. 

What is required to mount the Side Molle Panels?

Both the Small and Large Side Molle Panels for the Prado 250 utilise our captive nut mounting system, as well as being secured on the cargo cover mounting points. The best thing to do if you are unsure is to watch the video or read the fitting instructions; both are available on the product listing.

Can the barrier be used with child/baby car seats?

Yes, the barrier is compatible with child restraints and baby car seats.

How do the Side Molle Panels work with the curtain airbags?

Both the Small and Large Side Molle Panels are designed to allow unobstructed deployment of the factory curtain airbags. That said, we do not recommend any passengers ride in the third-row seats with either of these products installed. 

Can the OEM retractable rear cargo cover still be used?

No, the Molle panels utilise the mounting holes behind where the cover is secured.

What is the load/weight capacity for mounting accessories to the Light Cargo Barrier?

The Light Cargo Barrier is rated to hold 6kg, evenly distributed across the mesh surface.
