Purpose-built for today’s heavier e-bikes yet adaptable to almost any style of ride, it carries two bikes up to 45.4kg each with zero frame contact, ensuring your paint and components stay protected on every trip.
Engineered for Heavy e-Bikes
Each tray supports up to 45.4kg per bike, with front and rear wheel stabilizers that keep even the heaviest e-bikes firmly in place. The rack’s FastFit tool-free wheel chock system allows instant adjustment to different wheel sizes, while fender compatibility makes it ideal for commuter and cargo bikes. Simply slide the chock for a snug fit and use the provided hook-and-loop tire strap for extra security.
Adventure-Ready Durability
The Piston ION goes far beyond paved roads. It’s both RV-approved and off-road rated, meaning it’s ready for adventure wherever you travel.
The limit drops to 36.3kg per bike on a chassis-mounted RV hitch and 22.6kg per bike off-road.
Built with stainless steel and automotive-grade hardware and finished in a no-fade powder coat, the ION resists corrosion and stands up to rugged use, trip after trip.
Smart, Intuitive Design
The PedalPivot system and new Foot Pedal Lock make folding the rack up or down effortless — simply press, pivot, and go. The Flatlock Hitch Cam ensures a solid, wobble-free fit with a hand-tightening knob — no tools required.
The lightweight aluminium loading ramp hooks easily into the tire arms, telescoping to your preferred length for smooth loading and unloading of heavy e-bikes. When finished, it stows neatly in your vehicle for travel or storage.
Security & Convenience
A semi-integrated 12 mm high-strand cable lock secures the bikes, and a stainless steel barrel hitch lock secures the rack.
Optional add-ons like the License Plate Mount ensure legality and visibility when the rack is in use.
Features
Loading Ramp Included
The aluminium ramp hooks onto the tyre arm joints and telescopes to suit, so you roll a heavy e-bike up instead of lifting it. It stows in the boot when you're done.
RV and Off-Road Rated
Küat approves the ION for RVs on a chassis-mounted hitch and for non-technical off-road tracks. The limit drops to 36.3kg per bike on an RV and 22.6kg off-road.
Foot Pedal Lock
Spin the knob to lock the fold pedal. Red showing means it's off, and Küat requires it on whenever the rack is loaded and in use.
Hand-Tight Hitch Cam
The patented FlatLock cam tightens with a hand knob for a wobble-free fit in the receiver. No tools needed.
