Maxtrax Kinetic Rope - 10m

Details

The Maxtrax Kinetic Ropes are built to make vehicle recoveries smoother, safer, and more effective. Designed as the dynamic (stretch) element in your recovery setup, these ropes can stretch up to 30%, generating increased kinetic energy compared to traditional flat snatch straps. The result? A more controlled, less aggressive recovery that’s easier on both vehicles and equipment.

Engineered and tested as part of the Maxtrax Recovery System, these ropes are designed to work seamlessly with other Maxtrax gear. For safety, the system is built so the Maxtrax Fuse Shackle acts as the controlled weak point in the event of an overload—making it an essential part of every recovery.

Using the Maxtrax Kinetic Rope is simple. Always inspect it before use to ensure it’s in good condition, then connect it to rated recovery points, a Maxtrax Hitch, or other Maxtrax ropes using a Core Shackle or Fuse Shackle. You can use a single rope or link multiple together to achieve the length needed for your recovery situation.

For best results, combine it with a recovery dampener and recovery tracks to reduce strain on your gear and improve overall safety. As always, make sure the area is clear of bystanders and begin the recovery by gently taking up slack before applying more momentum if required.

Care & Maintenance

Your Maxtrax Kinetic Rope is built for tough conditions, but regular care is key to keeping it performing at its best. Always check for signs of wear such as cuts, fraying, abrasion, or heat damage before use. If any damage is found, do not use the rope. After use, rinse with clean fresh water, allow it to air dry, and store it in a protective bag to extend its lifespan.

Safety Tips

• Always use rated recovery points
• A Maxtrax Fuse Shackle must be used in every recovery
• Keep all bystanders well clear before starting
• Begin recovery slowly by taking up slack
• Use a recovery dampener to reduce recoil risk
• Never use for lifting or conventional towing
• Be aware that performance is reduced when the rope is wet
• Consider completing a 4WD recovery course or seeking expert advice
