1.   Why should I select an E.C.B alloy bullbar instead of a competitor’s alloy or steel bull bar for my vehicle? What are the advantages of alloy over steel?

The alloy has a number advantages over steel. The most obvious are the weight difference – steel bullbars are very heavy & quite often require a suspension upgrade to be able to cope with the extra weight at the front of the vehicle as opposed to E.C.B’s alloy bullbars which are very light & would not require any upgrade. The extra weight in steel means that manufacturers have to make their bullbars very thin to try and keep the weight down as much as they can whereas E.C.B’s alloy bull bars are made of a 6mm thick Hi-Tensile precision plasma cut alloy which is double the thickness of most bullbars (both steel and alloy) out on the market. Another significant benefit is that E.C.B’s alloy bull bars are made from structural grade High Tensile alloy which never rusts and as such it consistently maintains optimal frontal protection for your vehicle, whereas a steel bullbar will start to rust as soon as any powder coating comes off such as when the vehicle bumps into anything.

2.   Will an E.C.B bull bar void my new vehicle’s factory warranty?

Definitely not! All of E.C.B’s frontal protection products are new vehicle warranty compatible. They are also A.D.R(Australian Design Rules) approved and are fully Air Bag Compliant so they definitely will NOT void your new vehicle warranty. The ECB also provides a LIFETIME WARRANTY on all of their products.

3.   Why are our bulbars made of alloy ?

The elastic properties of the alloy which have been correctly tempered absorb the sudden force of impact that is loaded onto the vehicle in the unfortunate event of an animal strike. Steel bullbars transfer this impact straight to the chassis with limited absorption.

4.   Is it illegal to fit a bullbar in Australia?

Not at all, as long as it meets the regulatory requirements of the  Australian Driving Regulations (ADR) and your state road laws relating to tow bar requirements. Altapac Bullbars product meet with these regulations when applicable.

5.   Are bull bars & nudge bars air bag compatible?

We have a range of nudge & bull bars that are manufacturer certified airbag compatible. Many of which also have a lifetime warranty and are Australian Design Rule compliant.
